When it comes to competing on varied race courses with a mix of climbs, descents, and flats, nothing compares to the SuperSix Evo. The carbon frame is astonishingly light and it has responsive race geometry that encourages an aero-riding posture and delivers sharp handling. The tubes are shaped with a truncated aerofoil cross-section for increased aerodynamic efficiency without an added weight penalty. Cables are routed through the stem for a clean aesthetic and further aero gains. Clearance for up to 30mm tyres means you can fit rubber suited to the road you’re riding on, be it perfect tarmac or a cobbled classic race course.
The SuperSix EVO Disc 105 Di2 is made for racers who want top-end performance but are competing on a budget. It comes with Shimano’s new 105 Di2 12 speed groupset. This groupset brings electronic 2×12 shifting down to a more attainable price point while maintaining the snappy shifting performance that users of Ultegra and Dur-Ace Di2 have come to rely on. Shimano’s new Hyperglide+ technology allows for smooth shifting under load, both up and down the cassette, so you never need to let up on the pedals. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure reliable and easy control of speed even in the wet or on steep alpine descents thanks to cooling Ice-Tech fins on the brake pads.
One of the most important components on the bike for ride quality and aero efficiency is the wheelset and Cannondale hasn’t scrimped here either. Fast-rolling 25mm Vittoria Rubino Pro tyres are mounted on super-light HollowGram carbon rims. With a 35mm deep section, they’re optimised for climbing with a relatively shallow cross-section that still provides and aero advantage. The carbon theme continues with the finishing kit including an integrated bar with internal cable routing and removable accessory mounts for a cycle computer and light.
If you want a race bike built for claiming podiums without having to spend superbike money, the SuperSix EVO 105 Di2 is the bike for you.
