Exposure has been making bike lights in the UK for going on two decades. They subject all of their products to rigorous testing during development and every light they produce is burn tested to ensure it meets its specifications. What’s more, even after the two-year warranty has expired, Exposure will repair a broken light rather than have you throw it away and buy a new one. How’s that for customer service?
The Joystick Mk16 is a lightweight and compact helmet light with a maximum output of 1150 lumens. With its powerful focussed beam, It’s ideally suited to lighting up the apex of corners while mountain biking but it’s also useful for gravel or road riding on its lower brightness settings. The three LEDs that kick out all of those lumens are powered by a 3,500 mAh lithium-ion battery that will last between 1.5 and 36 hours depending on which setting you use. The light on the back of the light changes colour using a traffic light system to let you know how much juice you have left. The various output modes can be scrolled through by pushing the button on the back of the light.
If you want a lightweight but powerful helmet light for nighttime trail rides or as a spot lamp for picking your way through potholes, the Joystick Mk16 is the light for you.
