Trek Rail 7 Deore/XT – Gen 3 – Dark Prismatic

The Rail is a long-travel electric mountain bike built for fast descents and gnarly terrain. It features the same high-end trail tech and character as analogue Trek bikes, just supercharged. Think of the Rail as a Slash/Remedy hybrid with a built-in shuttle. The Bosch drive unit will have you doing three times your normal lap at the local trail centre and, as we all know, more riding = more fun.

The Rail 7 Deore/XT is the top spec alloy Rail. Its aluminium frame delivers 150mm of rear suspension travel and holds a 625 Wh battery for long days lapping the trails or adventuring in the mountains. A 160 mm RockShox Domain RC suspension fork and SRAM 4-piston hydraulic brakes keep you in control when descending. The powerful Bosch Performance Line CX (250 W, 85 Nm) motor and smooth-shifting 1×12 Shimano Deore/XT drivetrain will get you to the top of the hill in record time. The electric assist works at speeds up to 25 km/h and has a neat handlebar remote that allows you to cycle through the different assistance modes. All of the Bosch electronics are part of their new Smart System that allows you to update and customise your bike from the Bosch app. You can use it for activity tracking, diagnostics and range calculation too. Trek finishes the spec off with a dropper post, and Bontrager Line Comp 29er wheels that are already completely tubeless-ready, including sealant.
